Here is a first glimpse of the new arrivals. They are healthy and content and Hilo is doing g an exceptional job managing all the demands of motherhood.
This morning Hilo’s temperature dropped and she is now nesting in her crate.
We expect to announce puppies later tonight or tomorrow morning!!
It has been a busy week of development for the puppies. They are moving well on their 4 legs, can see better and hear and are just starting to lap goat’s milk from a bowl. This next week we will add some puppy food and canned pumpkin to help their system digest the new food. They are sure cute to watch!
Hilo is starting to show signs of getting ready to whelp her puppies. She is very big and getting tired easily and wanting to nest in her crate.Christa can feel the babies moving and Hilo’s milk is starting to come in.
We think we may be announcing puppies this weekend so we will update news as soon as these little darlings arrive. We have some very eager puppy families
It seems hard to believe that these babies are only two weeks old. Their eyes opened about three days ago and I have never seen 2 week old puppies move so well and be so aware of each other. I am really looking forward to having lots of fun playing with them in the yard next month:)
I received some adorable photos of our 7 month old Bella with her baby brother Lucas. Bella’s mommy Sheileen has done a fabulous job of socializing her puppy with a new baby. She reports that Bella loves to touch the baby and is obviously a wonderful companion to Lucas. They will have years of fun together:)
Today Hilo and I hit the road for a trip to the Elizabeth Street pet Hospital where Dr Marco Bregliano completed an ultrasound that showed 6 puppies. The ultrasound may miss 1 or 2 but we know for sure that Hilo has a full belly of babies. She has been very hungry and sleepy and needing lots of belly rubs so no surprise really but an exciting confirmation for all those anxious pet families.
Yuki is getting ready to go and honeymoon with Doc at Prairie Doodles. I am very excited about this litter as we hope to keep a lovely girl for our breeding program too.
These puppies will be ready in early August so great for people who want a little summer holiday before the new arrival. We have spots available on this list.
